In April 2012, Super Excavators, Inc. was elected by Barletta Heavy Division, Inc. to perform a $14,808,545 microtunneling subcontract on the Woonasquatucket CSO Interceptor Project for the Narragansett Bay Commission (NBC) Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Abatement Program. Approximately 12,000 lineal feet of pipeline with diameters ranging from 30 to 72 inches will be installed using microtunneling and pipejacking methods. Construction for the project began in mid-September, and the project has an estimated completion deadline of February 2014.
