Dibco-CRS Completes First Microtunnel Drive in Canada

On February 7, 2014, Dibco-CRS completed the first of three microtunnelling drives (152 meters) on the King Street Feedermain Project in Caledon, Canada.  The project includes the construction of approximately 850 meters of 1200 mm concrete tunnel using microtunnelling technology, and approximately 900 meters of 600 mm diameter concrete pressure pipe (CPP) watermain and appurtenances.  Also included in the project is testing / commissioning of PVC watermains installed by others, and reconstruction of urban standards including storm sewers, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, lighting and streetscape improvements.  This project is scheduled for completion in July 2014.
