In February 2013, the Northern California Chapter of the APWA awarded the $25-75 million 2012 Project of the Year to the Sunnydale Auxiliary Tunnel Project. This award was given in the environmental category based on its tie to the City’s Clean Water Act program. This project is in submission for a National APWA award later in 2013.
