Location: Green Bay, WI
Owner: The Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage
Completed: May 2000
This project was designed by the MSD to replace laterals in an aging system, and reduce infiltration inflow from older pipes. Pipe bursting was performed on 3,240 feet and open cut and replacement on approximately 2,000 feet. Implementing pipe bursting on the project minimized above-ground disturbance, reduced pavement restoration costs, and eliminated the potential of excavating contaminated soils from an old industrial area.
