CRS Tunnelling’s microtunneling crew holed out on the Etobicoke Creek Trunk Sanitary Sewer Project at the Lester B. Pearson International Airport today. The project involves the construction of approximately 612m of 1,800mm internal diameter trunk sanitary sewer underneath active operating surfaces at Lester B. Pearson International Airport (LBPIA). The trunk sanitary sewer is being constructed primarily using Microtunnel Boring Machine (MTBM) tunnelling methods, with the inclusion of compressed air intervention and access from within the MTBM.
