Ryan Creek Sanitary Sewer Interceptors
The Ryan Creek Interceptor was an improvement project designed to provide sanitary sewer service for the ultimate build-out of the service areas. Super Excavators, Inc. performed two contracts for the City of Franklin to construct the interceptor. In total, we constructed 2,404 linear feet of 48” RCP via microtunneling, and 5,042 linear feet of 36”, 1,283 linear feet of 42”, and 1,319 linear feet of 48” pipe at an average depth of 32 vertical feet using open cut methods. Stacked shields were used to maintain trench, and excavate below subgrade in unstable soils. In February 2014, Super Excavators was selected by the WI Chapter Awards Committee to receive the 2014 Project of the Year award at the local level. The award was presented to the Project Team in May 2014 at the APWA WI Chapter 2014 Spring Conference and Exposition.
